Gentle WALX that incorporate balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of tai chi or relaxation too. Great for those who are getting back into exercise, have a health condition or simply want to move well and be fit for life! Our wellbeing Instructors are qualified to deliver WALX for all levels so it’s never too late to take that first step. Gentle WALX, is a gentle safe way to walk yourself, fitter! These walks include exercises that help with flexibility, balance and strength whilst using poles to improve general fitness and increase joint mobility. Suitable for those who want to build up to the longer or more vigorous walks. Our wellbeing Instructors are qualified to deliver WALX for all levels so it’s never too late to take that first step. These 1-hour Gentle WALX along the Royal Military canal river path are up to 3 miles on mostly flat hard paths. Walking shoes are suitable. We have also added in our unique Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW); a specially-developed sequence of movements which promotes physical and emotional wellbeing. With origins in both Tai Chi and Chi Kung, the TMW sequence distils elements of these arts into a simplified form. Perfect for all abilities and ages. New members welcome; if it is your first session please arrive 15 minutes early. It is essential to register and book in advance online.
