Walk Description:

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

On Wednesdays we like to explore longer walks around the Pewsey Vale and North Wessex Downs.

Today`s Walk: Liddington Castle and Sugar Hill

Length and Grade: 5.5 miles with a couple of steep climbs up Sugar Hill and then up to Liddington Castle on the Ridgeway.

Location: Start at the layby on B4192 from Aldbourne to Swindon. There are several places to park - the start of the walk is noted by the What 3 Words link. If this space is full drive to the layby which is a few hundred metres on road towards Swindon.

Notes: Weather may be warm so make sure you have a sunhat, sunscreen and sufficient water for a 2 hour walk.

Please note that we have limited this activity to five people for the moment. If you get a notficiation you are on a waiting list - I will contact you to see if you would like an alternative date.

You must re-visit your PARQ and answer all questions including decalrations on COVID 19. Please bring your own equipement or if you need to borrow poles you will be provided with Activator strapless poles which are much easier to clean.

All activities will respect social distancing guidelines of 2 metres apart.

You can wear a mask if you would prefer to but this is not mandatory.
