Walk Description:

We will meet at the main Station Road Car Park in the town, situated at the end of the North Dorset Trailway.  The walk will begin along the trailway until we reach Fiddleford Mill, where we loop back through fields to an older part of the town and then to Sturminster Mill.  From here we follow the River Stour along the Stour Valley Way, where we will find a nice spot for a picnic lunch - so please bring something to eat and something to sit on.  After a further stretch along the river we turn inland through fields and head back to the start.  This walk is mostly flat and will be walked at a moderate pace of approximately 25 minutes per mile.  Note there are no toilets on this route.
