Explorer Walx are simply sociable Nordic walks in a mixed ability group, enjoying beautiful locations in and around South Shropshire. Most routes are circular and will try to make the most of the beautiful countryside around us.

This largely circular route starts at The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms, picks up and follows the River Onny passing through and past three of the old villages that existed prior to Craven Arms itself. It is an easy, relatively flat, wander by the river on a mixture of paths, meadows and tarmac roads. Plenty of bird life along the way, and views of the Shropshire Hills all around. Plenty of opportunity to practice basic technique without having to worry too much about difficult terrain.

Learn some rather special aviation history along the way.

This is a gears 1 and 2 walk.
