Come and find out how to turn a walk into a workout with our unique Power of Poles Induction course
Find out how to use fitness walking poles to achieve the results YOU want. This course will help you understand how to select the right kind of poles and use them for health, fitness, fun or challenges.
Broken into 2 x 1.5 hours sessions ( the second course being optional) this course will ensure you get the correct movement and techniques from the start and progress to part two to gain more advanced skills.
The first 1.5-hour session will cover:
Gear 1: The fundamentals of Nordic Walking technique.
Gear 2: Gaining propulsion from the pole and toe push, adapting pole position for hills and tailoring technique to your fitness, mobility and personal goals.
On completion you will gain your freedom pass and be able to book onto our regular gear1/2 walks and classes
Session 2 is available as an optional course.
Please note - In order to participate in our faster pace or terrain challenged walks, you must complete Session 1 and Session 2

We would ask you to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time of the walk so that you can get warmed up safely.
Please do not attend our walks if you or someone you live with has any of the following:
a high temperature
a new, continuous cough
a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
