Walk Description:

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

On Wednesdays we like to explore longer walks around the Pewsey Vale and North Wessex Downs.

Today's Walk: Avebury a longer walk around the world heritage site taking in the stones, Windmill Hill and Silbury Hill.

Length and Grade: 6 miles - a few hills

Location: Avebury NT car park - charges apply but free to members.

Notes: There is a cafe in Avebury and it's possible to sit in small groups either inside or outside the cafe. Or bring a flask for a mid walk break.

Bring water and a snack as this is a longer walk.

Note: To participate in regular Nordic WALX, you must have completed our Nordic Freedom Course.

You must re-visit your PARQ and answer all questions including decalrations on COVID 19. Please bring your own equipement or if you need to borrow poles you will be provided with Activator strapless poles which are much easier to clean.

All activities will respect social distancing guidelines of 2 metres apart.

You can wear a mask if you would prefer to but this is not mandatory.
