Walk Description:
Brian May guitarist of rock group Queen bought the farmland, South of Shitterton and running up to Black Hill in 2012 and had the idea of planting 100,000 trees and a wild flower meadow. The first Oak tree was planted in 2013 by Brian May.
The Walx starts at Souls Moor and Bere Regis Reserve. Please park responsibly in Elder Road or manor Farm Road.
The walk goes along the stream to Shitterton, then may's Wood, up the hill to Piddle Wood. This longer May's Wood walk goes towards Throop and Turners Puddle and back around via Black Hill and May's Wood.
This is a 2hr + walk.
Come and see 100,000 trees.
