Walk Description:

Samsons Bay and Watermouth.

 

Explore this spectacular coastal landscape and Walk in the footsteps of smugglers and wreckers of days gone by!

This walk will start at Hele bay beach car park where there are loos We will meet overlooking the beach near the beach cafe and after our warm up we make our way steadily up the coastpath Eastwards towards the coast guards cottages then Rillage point. Here we'll see Samsons bay with Samsons cove and caves below us and the specacular and breathtaking coastline towards Lynmouth, the Bristol channel and on a clear day Wales.We'll follow the coastpath into Watermouth where thers a nautical themed cafe for a well deserved cuppa! Those who have plenty of energy can walk along the other side of this beautiful natural harbour out to the tower and back before we head back to Hele enjoying yet more stunnig coasline views along the way.Once back to Hele we'll do our cool down stretches on the beach and everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy a socially distance BYO picnic together.
