Starting at the free car park in the tiny Village of Moreton, heading past St. Nicholas Church built in 1190 and bombed in World War 2, it was re-built in 1950. Well worth a visit on the way back as is the Cemetry where T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia is buried.
We head acros the narrow bridge over Moreton Ford to Moreton Plantation, predominantly a flat easy walk on mainly wide tracks picking up part of the Lawrence of Arabia trail.
The beautiful formal gardens and Dovecote Cafe at the Walled Garden at Moreton are also well worth a visit and has free entry.
As always at this time of year, suitable outdoor clothing and waterproof footwear wear should be worn.
