Walk Description:

Join us for a lunchtime walk to shake out the stiffness and get the circulation pumping. This is a flat walk, with some small inclines. Most of the paths are woodland tracks or waterside trails. There are a variety of routes to enjoy around canal paths, lakes, copses, and farm fields.

Grippy soled shoes are perfect. This is an inclusive walk for all, with or without poles. The pace is brisk with just one small stop to sip water.

Our Covid-19 social distancing protocol is:

Do keep 2 metres apart. Only use your own poles and equipment.  Carry a face mask and hand sanitiser (use regularly especially if you handle gates, etc). Wear a face mask if you feel more comfortable doing so. Please do not book on for a WALX if you think you may have symptoms, or do have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has symptoms. Ensure you book in advance so that our Contact and Trace records are accurate

This is for Freedom Passport Members only. Please use your own poles.

It is essential to register and book in advance online.

For just a £25.99 monthly membership you can join unlimited WALX.

Why not bring a friend or two! We love sharing our passion for outdoor exercise.

Everyone is welcome to WALX with Sole and you don’t need to be a Member to get started.

If you’re new to WALX, the ideal place to start is a Drop In WALX. We run a Drop In WALX for each TYPE of WALX; so whether you are interested in Wellbeing WALX, Total Body WALX or Explorer WALX, everyone is welcome and you’ll get a feel for what WALX is about, meet our friendly team, make new friends, have fun getting outdoors and learn about more WALX in your area. Why not bring a friend or two! We love sharing our passion for outdoor exercise.

Dogs: Not all our WALX are suitable for dogs. But we try to accommodate when we can.

Well behaved dogs, ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES, with 3rd party insurance are welcome. Please speak with Janine first as we do have a Dog Walk Etiquette and Code of Practice in place - this is for health and safety and a minimum request for Insurance purposes. Thank you for your understanding

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half-day in the hills, our Explorer WALX captures the variety of scenery, themes, and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough, or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

It is advisable to wear a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack. Do bring a high-energy snack to have on the hoof or as soon as we finish. Wear comfortable clothing that suitable for the weather. Do wear sturdy grippy shoes.

We respect people`s busy agendas and do like to start promptly. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your class and be ready to start on time. Please do not be offended if we do not wait whilst you get yourself sorted. We do a warm-up close by so please do catch up.

You are asked to contact your WALX Guide by phone, leaving a voicemail or sending an SMS text to the number listed below, if you are likely to be delayed as we do start classes promptly.

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice.

All activities are undertaken at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any injuries or accidents incurred. We undertake to deliver all classes with qualified staff and have made every effort to risk assess all WALX. On occasions, it is necessary to make dynamic risk assessment decisions when there is a localised incident such as trees falling on the route, flooding, traffic changes, etc.

Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us in writing if you have any change to your medical records or physical or mental wellbeing. This should include any surgery, falls, knocks or accidents. Thank you.
