Walk Description:

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

Today`s Walk:  This is a two ridge walk so involves a full descent to the valley floor and a steep climb back up only on one part of the walk as the top of the Oare road connects the two ridges. It is challenging walk of around 6 miles with some steep climbs and descents. But you are reawarded with sweeping iconic Wiltshisre views across to Ridgeway, Salsibury plain and Pewsey Vale.

This walk is a longer walk and is open to non-polers. If you would like to try poles please contact me in advance to arrange to borrow some of our strapless activiator poles.

Length and Grade: A 6 mile walk with some ascents and descents. We walk from Martinsell Hill car park to the top of the ridge above Oare. Great views and then a walk back via Wooton Rivers and then a moderate climb at the end up Mud lane which may be overgrown to the start.

Location: Start at the car park at Clench.

Notes: There are no facilites on this walk so please bring a snack/drink for a mid walk break where we can sit and take in the views (weather permitting).

Please note walkers must observe current government guidelines for COVD-19 at time of the walk.
