Walk Description:

This section of the Thames Path takes us from Marlow to the village of Cookham, with its Stanley Spencer associations.  The walking is flat and easy again following the course of the river.

When we arrive in Cookham you might like to take time for lunch and visit the small but very interesting Stanley Spencer museum.  We will then retrace our steps back to Marlow, or you can take the train if you fancy a shorter walk.

Our longer Explorer WALX are open to all, exploring beautiful areas in and around London. Routes are planned with breaks and the opportunity for refreshments but this isn't just a ramble; we'll encourage the good posture and motivation to push yourself as we do in all our WALX.

If you'd like to benefit from using Nordic walking poles, we advise you attend a Learn to Nordic WALX workshop. Walkers without poles or with trekking poles are very welcome.

Monthly Payment clients £10; Pre-paid Credit clients £16 - price adjusted at payment.

Time: Meet at Marlow Station ready to start at 11.00 am.

Trains run hourly from London Paddington, changing at Maidenhead.  We suggest you catch the 9.57 which arrives in Marlow at 10.57 am.

Approximate finish 3.30 pm for the full length walk.

Return from Cookham or Marlow to London Paddington - trains every hour
