Walk Description:

A FABULOUS IMPROVERS WALX  with WALX IN THE FOREST

Godshill Inclosure

On Friday mornings we go for a 1 hour MODERATE/EASY PACED WALX specifically tweaked for those who want more than a gentle walk but are not quite ready for a moderate walk in distance or pace.

The far reaching views from the edge of Godshill Inclosure leading across Godshill Ridge and are so inspirational that you end up walking without overthinking it - the perfect way to improve!

Friday mornings are all about turning a walk into a workout but at your own pace! You don't need to be able to Nordic walk, but poles will be available should you wish to have a go.

There may be some hills but most people should be able to tackle them.

PLEASE NOTE

There are several car parks named Godshill something... but this one is Godshill Inclosure - turn left at the Fighting Cocks (if coming from Fordingbridge), down the hill, up the hill and the car park is on the right.

PLEASE NOTE:

Please do not use the postcode to find locations in the New Forest. They often take you to the wrong place as they cover groups of house. Use what3words or the name of the location.

There may be a couple of gates but no stiles. There is a very real possibility of encountering grazing livestock such as ponies, cows and donkeys. Also pigs at this time of year as pannage has started. The very nature of the New Forest terrain means that springs pop up in unexpected places after heavy rain so please make sure you wear waterproof footwear (no wellies)! Dogs are welcome but Fido may need to be on a lead some of the time. Please make sure you have filled out a dog disclaimer form from Janet before bringing your pooch.
