These WALX make every step count! Total Body walking™ is a unique mix of drills, strength exercises. We may use of nordic walking poles and other innovative fitness walking kit to help target the upper body, but you do not need to be a Nordic Walker to join us - we'll challenge you in other ways! Delivered by our fully qualified Instructors who will plan WALX that work on all aspects of fitness and make the most of being Outdoors!
Meet: At the car park just south of Crow Mills Bridge on Countesthorpe Road. If the car park is full, limited parking is available along Mill Lane. Please park responsibly.
Terrain: This walk uses the disused railway path as our playground! The access is steep and we plan to make it challenging! There are steps, and we will be pushing the pace with fitness drills. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Pace: This activity is designed to challenge cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance. You will be able to work at your own pace and are asked to make sure you set your own limitations. Walking poles are NOT required for this activity.
Refreshments and toilets are not available at this venue. Please make sure you bring adequate drinks and any snacks you may require.
Elevation: We will be using the hills and steps to improve our fitness. These are steep, and in places narrow, but not long inclines.
When joining us we ask you to read and agree to these safety measures:We aim to be respectful towards members of the public and reassure them of our safe practices. Please bring a small backpack or bum bag with water and a snack if required. Participants are required to register and complete an online health questionnaire in advance. If you feel unwell between booking and joining the class, we ask you to err on the side of caution and cancel your booking. You will be re-credited, and can rebook for a future date or a refund can be issued.
