Today`s Walk: Christmas Meal Walk in Kennet Valley.

Today we are at in the Avebury and Kennet Valley for a walk before our Christmas meal at the Bell at West Overton.

The exact walk route will be confirmed nearer to the time after it has been route-checked and dependent on conditions. It will start at the Sanctuary car park and be around 5 miles at a moderate speed. around the landmarks of Avebury.

This walk is open to non-polers. If you would like to try poles please contact me in advance to arrange to borrow some of our strapless activiator poles.

Length and Grade: A 5 mile walk with some elevation gain - this is a general level walk to enjoy a social walk before our Christmas meal at the Bell at West Overton.

The route will most likely take in Avebury, Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow then back via lanes to the pub. If too long for some they can walk with me back to car park and drive down to the pub.

Location: We will start the walk from the Sanctuary car park at the top of Overton Hill. We will end at the pub which is around 1km from the start - so you have a few options. Park at start and walk back after the meal. Park at the pub and get a lift up to the start. If you park at the pub the address is

Notes: There are toilets in Avebury mid walk.

Lunch menu will be emailed to you once you have booked along with details on how to pay your deposit.
