Walk Description:

Walking from Lake in the Upper Woodford Valley (with kind permission of Lake Estate Club) to Stonehenge Down and the Barrows, with incredible views across the stones.

(We will not be entering the site of Stonehenge)

The walk is a magnificent countryside walk passing Normanton Down nature reserve, with fine scenery surrounding us, and is made up of wide grassy paths & byways with a short tarmac section & a narrower path that may be muddy after rainfall. There is a gradual incline on the approach to the Barrows.

We will return on the path but taking a diversion on the ridge overlooking Lake House if the paths are clear enough for us to tackle!

No stiles.

Poles optional - tarmac only at the start.

Coffee and chairs/blankets in cars for 'apres' (optional)
