Walk Description:

Our weekenders continue with an Open Explorer Walx starting at Scots Pour on the Chute Causeway - walking towards Chute and then back up Hippenscombe Bottom.

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

Today`s Walk: Today we are on the Hampshire Wiltshire border for a fabulous walk in this slighlty remote hidden valley where we often see buzzards and kites as well as other wildlife.

We start at Scots Pour on the Chute Causeway then walk through the edge of Collingbourne Woods and over to New Zealand farm and into Hippenscombe bottom a beautiful remote valley between Hampshire and Wiltshire.

This walk is a longer walk and is open to non-polers. If you would like to try poles please contact me in advance to arrange to borrow some of our strapless activiator poles.

Length and Grade: A 6.5 mile walk with elevation gain of 300m - although there are hills we take the easier route gradually ascending in first few miles and then again at the end.

Location: Meet at Scots Pour - use the What 3 Words to link to an exact Google map location. Do share cars if this is safe to do so as parking is limited.

Notes: There are no facilites on this walk so please bring a drink/snack for a mid walk break where we can sit and take in the views (weather permitting). We can have a coffee at the Honesty cafe after the walk.

Please bring your own equipement or if you need to borrow poles you will be provided with Activator strapless poles which are much easier to clean.

If you have any Covid symptoms or are in contact with another person who tests positive for C-19 please do not attend the walk and use the cancel button on your confirmation to remove yourself. If you develop symptoms with 72 hours of attending a walk please let me know.
