Walk Description:
This is a new loop walk which takes in the next section of the North Dorset Trailway, starting at the far point of Shillingston (if you are coming from Blandford). It is a beautiful walk taking in the views across to Hambledon Hill and the meandering River Stour. We head off to Hammoon first and then over to Child Okeford taking in the wonderful countryside.
The walk is an easy walk with one stile and one high step up onto a small bridge. All paths are generally good with the last section that could be muddy if it has rain lots.
There are no toilets along the way other than a few bushes.
We will meet in the car park at the begining or end of Shillington pending which way you are coming, take the Hayward Lane turning and almost immediately take the turning on your right which is quiet sharp coming back on yourself you wil then see the car park which is on your left. Please note this little area has a one way system in place.
