Walk Description:

Note 10.20am meet up for a prompt 10.30am start. Miriam's Friday Meander is an easy/moderate pace fortnightly walk of around 4 miles, ideal for those who who would like to build their distance and stamina to a point that they can join Workout Walks and longer Adventure Walks. The walks are based in countryside locations easily accessed from the East Lancashire Road (A580) or M56/M60/M62/M61 corridors.  Get some great Nordic Walking exercise, fresh air and chat! When allowed/feasible there is an optional brew stop at a local cafe or pub after the walk or sometimes a bring your own mid walk 'Rucksack cafe'.

THIS WEEK - Dingle, Dam & Bongs at Lymm. Enjoy the beautiful woodlands surrounding Lymm Dam, The Dingle &  the ancient wetland area known as the Bongs on this walk of circa 4 miles. No toilet facilities at the walk but plenty of places for a 'wild'. The nearest facilities are at the lovely cafes in Lymm Village if you want to stop for a drink before or after the walk, or at Lymm Truck Stop services on the roundabout at the junction of the M6 & M56. Part of the route may be muddy so come prepared with appropriate footwear. Bring a drink & a snack with you.

Meeting point: Lymm Dam Car Park WA13 0AP (junction of Crouchley Lane and the A56). Take the M56 to junction 7 then follow A56, Higher Lane to Lymm (approx. 4 miles). Turn left onto Crouchley Lane from the A56, Higher Lane, BEFORE crossing the Dam, and the car park is on the right hand side.
