MONTHLY WALK - Led by NWUK Instructor Susan Spain, the`All Together Now`2 to 2.5 hour moderate to faster pace adventure walk is a monthly sociable Nordic walk of around 4 - 5 miles around some of the lovely greenspace & walking routes in South Manchester you may not be aware of. Build your fitness & stamina. This walk replaces the Monday Blaster Workout Walk on one Monday a month.
THIS MONTH - SALE WATER PARK & BEYOND. 10.30am start
Meeting point - Mersey Valley Visitor Centre Car Park at Sale Water Park. After leaving the M60 at junction 6, at the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road, turn onto Rifle Road. Go past the Metro Link Station and turn left at the next roundabout onto Cow Lane. Go passed the Metro link car park entrance and then park in the next car park by the Visitor Centre. Toilets are available at the visitor centre before & after the walk. Why not stay after the walk for a brew & lunch at the excellent Tree Tops Cafe by the Visitor Centre.
Why not take the Metrolink to Sale Water Park if you don't wish to drive?

IMPORTANT - Covid-19 requirements and protocols
1 - Participants must stay 2m apart wherever possible (min 1m+) and respect other participants personal space upon arrival, during and when leaving a session.
2 - Participants must adhere to instructions given by the instructor at all times including walking patterns adopted by the group and the adoption of double bubble small groups.
3 - Face coverings are optional. However please bring one with you in case they are needed. (a scarf or similar is fine). It is also advisable to bring a small bottle of hand sanitiser with you.
4 - Strapless or strapped Nordic walking poles may be hired at a cost of £1 (coin on the day). All poles are disinfected between use and quarantined for 72 hours before use.
We will be walking on both grass and paths so make sure you’re wearing supportive walking boots or shoes/trainers with a good tread that you are happy to get dirty and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Paws will be required (on and off on different terrains).
Please remember to bring 1 - bottle of water or a hot/cold drink 2 - any medications you may need 3 - a small rucksack as you`ll need both hands free at all times 4 - a mobile phone is useful for any last minute notifications. Don`t forget sunscreen or insect repellent if need be!
Please note - you can cancel online up to 24 hours before the walk. Unfortunately, refunds are not allowed after this time. Please contact Susan directly via phone/text on 07738 931710 if you need to cancel nearer to the start time so we’re not waiting for you. Likewise, please phone/text as well as using the online system if you want to book on at the last minute - we don`t want to go without you!
