Walk Description:

We will meet in the car park of Ferndown Forest Golf Club.  The walk begins along the Castleman Trailway and through parts of Ferndown Forest.  Next, we head into and across White Sheet Plantation, and on to Holt Heath where we will enjoy views across the forest.  Finally, we loop back into the plantation and then walk along a short stretch of the ‘Ferndown, Stour and Forest Trail’ before joining the Castleman Trailway again back to the car park.  There are no big hills; this walk is suitable for all.

At the end of the walk, we are booked for lunch at the Forest Inn - this is optional though numbers intending to stay, and food pre-orders, will need to be confirmed 48 hours before the walk.  Therefore, bookings will close at this time.  Lauren will be in touch regarding food orders the week before the walk, but the menu can be found at The Forest Inn (ferndownforestgolfcourse.co.uk) 

Note: Timings are based on the end of the walk, if staying for lunch, the finish will be later.  Please arrive on time for the walk, so we return on time for our lunch.
