Walk Description:
Kelston Bath Soft Cheese Cafe - 'Walk, Talk & Tea'
Walk Grade: 2 Miles, flat
A beautiful walk exploring the area around Kelston. This gentle walk takes us from the car park through fields, crosses a stream and continues alongside the river at Saltford. The walk is less than 2miles in length across mainly flat terrain. There is one gentle incline. There are kissing gates to negotiate but no stiles or flights of steps. There is an option to return to the cafe more directly making the walk approximately 1.6miles.
The fields may be muddy so please wear appropriate footwear. This walk is suitable for Nordic Walkers who have completed a Learn to NW course and are comfortable walking in gears 1 and 2. Poles will be provided free of charge.
The Cafe and Cheese shop offers delicious food and drink focussing on dairy produce from the farm. You are even able to buy their organic milk on tap! There are opportunities to watch the cheese manufacturing process. The farm has offered us use of a separate area of the cafe above the milking parlour where you are very welcome to join us for a drink and a snack after the walk.
The meeting point is the car park adjacent to the Bath Cheese Company cafe, Kelston, BA1 9AQ. The cafe is signed from the A431 through Kelston by a large banner on the roadside. Toilets are available inside the cafe.
This walk is being led by All Seasons Nordic Walking Walk Leader – Liz Futcher, Contact: 07714 221806
Pay as you go price is £9.00, the Pre Pay price is therefore £7.20 after the 20% discount is applied. For walkers who pay £35 per month for unlimited walks with All Seasons, this walk is included in that package, so no extra charge.
