The POWER OF THE POLES Session is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and is an Award-Winning structured teaching programme.
This course will take place in Kings Park. We start with a gentle warm up and then learn the correct techniques for Nordic Walking using both strapless poles (ideal for beginners) and progressing to strapped poles, enabling you to get going immediately.
We’ll use the predominantly flat terrain of Kings Park as well as slopes and inclines to learn how to wark uphill and downhill.
On completion of this course you will understand the benefits of using different pole types correctly and will be issued with your Freedom Passport allowing you to join all of the Walx activities and classes.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for walking outdoors please wear appropriate clothing and shoes. it may be muddy. You may also want to bring a water bottle.
