I can’t believe that it is November already!! Time really does fly when you’re having fun. Despite some rather wet days we have continued to enjoy our walks and on many occasions we have encouraged the sun to shine for us . This really is a beautiful time of the year to get outdoors and blow away the cobwebs , feel the cold on our cheeks, breathe in the fresh air and burn some calories so that we can enjoy some comfort food without worrying too much about filling out!

Why wait until January to up your exercise regime? Get a head start now and make the most of sunny days, blue skies and mood lifting moments in nature.

Read on to see what is coming up over the next couple of months and please feel free to get in touch with any queries you may have. I know there may be some of you reading this that have for whatever reason fallen by the wayside. Maybe you would like to get going again but don’t know where to start. We are here to help you so please give me a call or send an email and hopefully we can find a session that fits in with your goals.

It was great to welcome Simon back to Sywell last Friday. I do really appreciate the role that both Simon and Kara perform for me , leading you and ensuring your safety, and I am certain that you will be thrilled to see Explorer WALX back on a Fridays 11.00 at Sywell.

Saturdays

The eagle eyed among you will have spotted a slight change to our Saturday programme. Most weeks we start with Saturday Strideout at 9.30. This is a fast paced 3 mile walk where the focus is on walking well to improve pace and technique which in turn will improve cardiovascular fitness and calorie burn. A great class for you if you can keep up a Gear 2 pace whilst holding a conversation and are working to include some sections of Gear 3 and Top Gear walking. ( Contact me if you have not done Power of Poles 2 as you will need some additional tuition to understand Gear 3 and Top Gear.)

At 11.00 you will see the Saturday Improver. This one is perfect for you if you are unable to make the steadier pace classes in the week, are newish to Nordic Walking and would like to progress following on from  the Power of Poles, check up on your technique or just fancy an additional class at a steadier pace than the 9.30 session.

Why not come early at 10.30 and have a coffee with the earlier group. We’re a friendly bunch.

One Saturday a month we will hold a longer Explorer WALX with either a café or pub included. These will tend to be around the 5/6 mile range.

Saturday 18th NovemberArtizan Market Explorer WALX

Join us for the 3rd year attending this event at Elliotts Rectory Farm . We will enjoy a lovely walk across the fields around Moulton and Overstone before dropping in to visit the Artizan Market on the Farm . There will be lots of local stalls selling various foodstuffs, crafts, etc including our very own John and Linda with their fabulous paintings and cards. There will also be time to enjoy a warming drink and a bite to eat if you wish.

I really do hope you will support this venture as a farming family attempt to diversify .

AND FINALLY FOR NOW….. some tips on finding your WALX and booking.

  1. Use the PDF List that I send out with the Easy Book Links. OR
  2. Go to walxheartoftheshires.co.uk rather than the walx.co.uk and Login to see Booking Calendar which should show my sessions primarily, along with the HQ Virtual sessions that are FREE to all those who have the Monthly Direct Debit package.
  3. DON’T FORGET TO CHECKOUT ONCE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR BOOKINGS IN THE SHOPPING TROLLEY otherwise they will sit there and you won’t be booked into your sessions.

I hope that helps.

That’s all for now folks.

KEEEEP WALXING!
