Step 1 – Find your WALX – your first step to being active in the great outdoors
WALX is for everyone -what’s your favourite
Choose between an Explorer WALX, a Wellbeing WALX or a Total Body WALX
We have a team of fully trained WALX Masters working throughout the country, so you can find an activity near you
You don’t need to be a member – everyone is welcome regardless of age or experience
No special equipment required, just a suitable pair of shoes or trainers
Step 2 – Book a Drop-in WALX where everyone is welcome
Come and have a taste of one of our Wellbeing, Total Body or Explorer WALX
Get a feel for what WALX is all about in a safe and welcoming environment
Meet our friendly team, make new friends, have fun getting outdoors and learn about more WALX in your area
Everyone is welcome, so you can bring friends, family and even your dog
Step 3 – Join the WALX community in your local area
As a WALX Member you can access unlimited Walx in your local club for a low cost monthly direct debit

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
These WALX make every step count! Total Body walking ™ is a unique mix of drills, strength exercises, the use of nordic walking poles and other innovative fitness walking kit to help target the upper body too. Delivered by our fully qualified Instructors who will plan WALX that work on all aspects of fitness and make the most of being Outdoors!
Gentle WALX that incorporate balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of tai chi or relaxation too. Great for those who are getting back into exercise, have a health condition or simply want to move well and be fit for life! Our wellbeing Instructors are qualified to deliver WALX for all levels so it’s never too late to take that first step.
