Thinking about joining us, but worried about turning up on your own?

The majority of our members came by themselves the very first time they joined us.

I am really proud of our WALX Coast and Country community because I know our members will always welcome newcomers and help them feel part of the group straight away.

They remember what it felt like to turn up for the first time, not knowing anyone and wondering whether they would fit in.

Even when people come with a partner or friend, it usually isn’t long before they are chatting, laughing and getting to know other members independently.

It is completely understandable to feel a little nervous about joining an activity where you don’t know anyone. That first step can often be the hardest one.

At WALX Coast and Country, we go out of our way to make that first step easier. You won’t be left standing on your own wondering what to do or who to talk to. We will introduce you, look after you and help you feel part of our friendly and supportive community.

So please don’t let coming on your own stop you.
