We have added “Monday Invigorating Walk, Strength & Balance – 11.15am” to our programme. This is very similar in format and aims to the two Thursday classes and is delivered by Sarah Corballis.
We have added this class so, at this gentler intensity level, you now have the option of:
You also have the option of the 30mins Zoom classes (Mon, Tue, Thu – 9am; Wed, Fri – 9.30am), and everyone in the current Tues and Thurs classes would be fine in these classes.
From experience, I have seen that increasing frequency of exercise in the week improves results. NHS physical activity guidelines recommend daily activity including strength and balance exercises, plus 150mins of moderate intensity exercise or 75mins vigorous intensity exercise. I know I am talking to the converted here, but I’d suggest that your WALX Hampstead classes border moderate / vigorous intensity – well done for your effort! *
The Monday class is therefore available for you if you can’t make the Thursday class on any week, or if you want to increase your exercise frequency.
