Every month Emma and Peter guide a social walk which is open to members and their partners. In March our Themed Walx was a ‘Breakfast walk’. The 4 mile route took us on footpaths through the fields around Cubbington, a village on the outskirts of Leamington Spa.
Fortunately the ground was drier than last months Snowdrop Walk and we all enjoyed the milder weather and blue skies. Peter and Emma researched and planned the route so it ended at Hollies Tearooms in the village where we all enjoyed a well-earned hearty breakfast. Not only did it mean that we supported a local business, it also showed many of us footpaths we didn’t know existed. What a great way to start a Sunday morning!
April’s Themed Walk will be a Bluebell Walk. We’ll have to get up early for the May walk as it’s a dawn walk to coincide with International Dawn Chorus Day on Sunday 4th May. There are also exciting plans for June with a weekend walking the banks of the River Leam. Spread over 3 day it will start on Friday with a 4 mile walk, then 8 miles each on Saturday and Sunday.
Stay tuned for more details confirming dates and times.
