October and November brought our Capital Ring walkers deeper into South East London and new places to explore. From Eltham Palace to the gorgeous Beckenham Place Park we really enjoyed exploring this new area in London for us all. Section 4 saw us walking through Crystal Palace Park and seeing up close the TV mast which we can see from our Viewpoint in Stanmore! We also got a different view over London from the top of the hill in Crystal Palace Village. Our annual challenge is well under way now after completing 10 of the 14 sections and we keep finding fabulous pubs to celebrate our achievement. The Bull in Streatham High Street is highly recommended – a wide choice and lovely food – they even had a fire and that was most welcome on a cold day in November.
