At WALX we have a range of training solutions to suit all projects, we have a menu of modules that help us to train people from all backgrounds to plan and lead inspirational but safe walks (with and without poles)
Our expert Tutors have backgrounds in exercise referral, outdoor leadership, Nordic walking, health promotion and the delivery of safe fitness sessions for all levels.
They can come to your location to train a team of all levels OR you can pop individuals onto our scheduled course dates. We also have online content to enable you to train new team members as and when you need to.

We train YOU to train your own leaders as and when you need them
WALX Leader training ensures that regular walks can go ahead safely without the need to full Instructors to be present. Great for sustainability and participation but with all the necessary risk assessment, screening and insurance considerations in place. This protects both participants and the leaders.

If you feel you need additional skills for the project organiser, instructors or leaders we have a range of additional modules which can help.
Organisers may need help to produce risk assessments, understand client health screening plan and promote walks or prepare participation reports.
Instructors may need additional training around specific medical conditions, functional movement, connecting with nature, mindfulness or the theories of exercise (equiv. level 2 fitness Instructor)
Leaders may be ready to up skill to Instructor level and encourage their peers

For professionals interested in the use of poles for rehabilitation or the management of certain medical conditions, we offer training around the use of poles for specific cohorts.
We train physiotherapists and other clinical specialists to select the right poles and correct movement patterns for everything from neurological and balance conditions to lower limb joint replacement or pain management. We have two pole models and 3 phases of mobility to help with stability, confidence, recovery and promotion of natural gait.
WALX poles are used by Parkinson’s groups, major hospitals and private clinics and have proven valuable for management of arthritis, fibromyalgia, MS, COPD, Claudication and living with Obesity.
