Norfolk Nordic Walking

Walk Description:

We’re exploring the BURE LIGHT RAILWAY on this walk. We start in Buxton where the old station used to be.  We take a Gear 2 pace along the footpath adjacent to the track up to Aylsham.  At the old Aylsham station, we will stop for a mid-way coffee in the cafe.  It will be decorated for Christmas so very festive.

We return along the Bure Light Railway back to Buxton.

A super 6 s/miler for Saturday!

These SATURDAY SPECIAL walks will be in varied locations (Watch This Space!) and approx 4-6 miles long.  We love to explore new routes…

We try to aim to upload walks TWO weeks prior to the event on the website.

On average we clock up approx 5 miles at steady Gear 2 pace. 

PLEASE COME EQUIPPED WITH PAWS!!!! A MUST!

Please dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t forget water, waterproofs (if necessary), suncream, bug spray AND ASTHMA INHALER AND CHECK YOUR EMAILS ON THE MORNING OF THE WALK FOR ANY UPDATES

We will set off promptly.

Please try to arrive 10mins early so you are ready to go.  

Cancelling a walk:

If you are unable to attend a walk, PLEASE cancel by 6pm the day before as there will undoubtedly be people eager to take your place.  24 hours notice will help everyone.

Location Notes:

Stracey Rd, Buxton, Norwich NR10 5ET Park at Bure Valley Railway Car Park, Stracey Road, Buxton (Stracey Road off Aylsham Road, close to Buxton church. To find the car park, turn right at the T-junction at the far end of Stracey Road. AT THIS POINT YOU WONDER IF YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT ROAD AS THERE ARE NO SIGNS AND YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOUSING ESTATE....However the car park is on the left at the end beside the railway station) AND IT'S FREE!
