A faster paced Nordic Walk suitable for those wishing to increase their fitness levels. (Gear 2 with bursts of Gear 3)
A picture-perfect route from Avington Park on footpaths by the river and through fields.
Leaving Avington Park and it's grand house and lake behind us we head into the countryside to the village of Easton. Passing by the church and into fields we arrive at Itchen Abbas with breathtaking sections by the river. We carry on until we pass through the picturesque village of Avington and are back in the park at the start of the walk.
Long haired Highland cattle can often be spotted grazing peacefully along this route which is flat and easy although some sections can be muddy in wet weather.
