Walk Description:
A beautiful, undulating 6 mile walk around the Ridley Plain and Ridley Wood area, passing the historical "Old House" and encompassing beautiful views from the open heathland as well as pretty paths through the woodlands.
Hills are plentiful but not steep and some areas may be a bit muddy, so please come prepared!
After the walk, those who want to can join us at The White Buck Inn for a late lunch. (A 10 minute drive). If you're coming to the lunch, please book by 18 September so that I can finalise the booking and menu choices before we leave for Andalucia! I will email you the menu separately and I'm paying a £10 per head deposit so would ask you to let me know in plenty of time if you need to cancel.
I've put a limit of 20 people on the walk but in fact this is the maxiumum number that the pub can take, the walk itself is unlimited!
Location Notes:
Car park is a reasonable size, on your right coming from Burley. However, if it's full there are more spaces across the road and Vereley Hill Car Park which is much larger.
