Walk Description:

Wool & Cole Wood Explorer Walk (Approx. 6 miles)

Starting from Wool, this varied circular walk crosses open fields before heading into the historic Cole Wood. From there, the route joins the Hardy Way, taking you through stretches of heathland, forest trails, and quiet country lanes for a wonderful exploration of the local area.

We walk in search of The Lake and The Fort (an old Folly) with some lovely surprises along the way. A stunning Autumn walk that might be muddy in places and we may come across some cattle.

Sturdy footwear is essential. We meet at The Cross in Wool but there is plenty of residential parking in the area. No toilets at the start.

Location Notes:

Street Parking around and close to the High Street in Wool. Meet outside Williams The Bakers. Please park sensibly and don't block any driveways or paths.
