Walk Description:

Setting off from the centre of Wimborne St Giles this is a walk in beautiful Dorset countryside.

All followed by an optional afternoon tea.

Today's walk is near the end of the season for the charity teas.

A sociably paced walk for all abilities of 4 miles.

Partly on grassy paths and partly on quiet lanes.

Some lovely views from the high point on this walk.

For the road section paws on poles are suggested.

Bring water and layers.

Each Sunday from April to Oct a different charity runs the afternoon tea in the village hall to

raise funds.

They take credit cards. You select your sandwiches/cakes and order drinks. Your hot drink is

then brought to you. Seating indoors and outside.

Toilets in the village hall which is open when we arrive so allow time to walk from the parking

when you arrive if needed.

Please park by the wall as you enter the village.

From the Wimborne direction please note the first turning to Wimborne St Giles is quite narrow

in places but the second turning is a wider road. You arrive in the same place.

Location Notes:

Park in the centre of the village, free on street parking opposite the school, alongside the brick wall. Meet in the same location. You can also park at the Village Hall as we are having teas there afterwards. However, if possible park on the street to keep spaces at village hall for people going there whilst we are on walk.
