Walk Description:

Meeting at Levens Hall car park the walk takes us across the A6 entering the Deer Park, home to a herd of Black Fallow Deer and a herd of rare-breed Bagot goats. We meander through the timeless scenery of the park before passing over the A590 and picking up the path along the long abandoned Lancaster Canal to the tiny Hamlet of Sedgwick. At Larkrigg Hall Bridge we return back to the park along the River Kent passing Brettagh Holt, once the home of the Salesian Sisters of St John Bosco, now a hotel and popular wedding venue (The Villa Levens).

The circular walk is 5 miles.     Pace: Gear 1 and 2.     Suitable for all levels
