Walk Description:
Join us for a scenic 6-mile adventure through the stunning Lorton Valley Nature Reserve. We’ll follow a long, gentle incline that rewards us with beautiful views across Portland, and on clear days you can even spot Hardy’s Monument in the distance.
Our journey takes us through the peaceful Lodmoor Wildlife Reserve, home to a variety of birds and wildlife, and into the delightful Teddy Bear Woods, where nature feels truly magical. Expect a mix of terrain — it can get muddy after rain, so sturdy footwear is a must.
Bring along water and a snack for a relaxing mid-walk break. There are no stiles on this route, but we may meet cattle.
Plenty of free parking.
Location Notes:
The paved car park is free with plenty of spaces. It is set between Top Club and Littlemoor Skate Park on Louviers Road, Weymouth.
