From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
On Wednesdays we like to explore longer walks around the Pewsey Vale and North Wessex Downs.
Today`s Walk: Today we are at Pewsey Downs for a moderate walk up to Milk Hill and round via Alton BArnes White Horse and then over towards Knapp Hill and Golfer Woods. Great high walk to get your winter fill of light and hopefully sunshine!
6 miles with some hills.
This walk is a longer walk and is open to non-polers. If you would like to try poles please contact me in advance to arrange to borrow some of our strapless activiator poles.
Length and Grade: A 6 mile walk with some ascents and descents
Location: Start at the car park above Alton Barnes known as Pewsey Downs car park.
Notes: There are no facilites on this walk so please bring a snack/drink for a mid or end walk break where we can sit and take in the views (weather permitting). Maybe muddy so wear waterproof shoes and maybe gaiters.
If you are looking for foliage for your Christmas wreaths/decoratons bring a bag and some snippers!
Location Notes:
