Walk Description:
From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
On Fridays we like to start and end our walk (or drive a short way) at a local cafe. The walks are around 4-5 miles and take around 2 hours.
Poles are optional on an Open WALX - if you would like to try some poles please contact me in advance.
Today's Walk: Ramsbury Circular Walk.
Starting in the village we walk out towards Ramsbury Manor via the Kennet and then back via Hilldrop. May be very muddy if it rains before the walk so the worst section can be bypassed on quiet lanes.
Pace & Intensity: Fairly moderate paced walk suitable for most abilities.
Gradient: there are some hills which can be taken slowly.
Miles: This walk is around 4-5 miles.
Notes: Park in the village and meet in pub car park. There are plenty of spaces around the village iso please do not take up all the spaces at the pub.
