Walk Description:
From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
Circular Walk from Fyfield Downs car park towards the Ridgeway. 6-7 miles.
Today`s Walk: We start at Fyfied Downs and walk towards the Ridgeway and take a circular route back to the start. The walk is open to non-polers. If you would like to try poles please contact me in advance to arrange to borrow some of our strapless activiator poles.
Length and Grade: A 6-7 mile walk with some ascents and descents.
Location: We will start at Fyfield Downs car park.
Notes: There maybe livestock on this walk and we may re-route to avoid them.
Bring a hot drink and snack for a mid walk break.
Location Notes:
The car park (known as Gravel Hill car park on Google Maps) is found by turning right off the A4 on the Marlborough to Calne rd just after the Manton turn off - signposted Manton House and Hollow. Follow road for about a mile. The road turns sharply left and then turns to right. Just before the right hand turn is a BYWAY sign on the left - turn here and the car park is just to right behind the trees Please do not leave valuables in your car at this location.
