Walk Description:

Friday Cafe Nordic Walx - this is up to 2 hours and 5 miles often followed by a coffee at a local cafe or bring your own flask for an after walk coffee and chat.

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

On Fridays we like to start and end our walk (or drive a short way) at a local cafe. The walks are around 4-5 miles and take around 2 hours.

Poles are optional on an Open WALX - if you would like to try some poles please contact me in advance.

Todays walk: Today we walk at Pewsey & Manningford. Coffee & Cake at Bev's fundraiser for Drive 4 Ukraine. ???????? see below.

Pace & Intensity: Fairly moderate paced walk suitable for most abilities.

Gradient: Fairly moderate.

Miles: This walk is around 5 miles.

Logistics: Meet at Pewsey Bouverie Hall car park and then will take a few cars to Bev's house to start walk.

Notes: Today instead of ending our walk at a local cafe we are having a fundraiser coffee/cake snacks after the walk at Bev's house. We will ask for cash donations for the refreshments. All money raised will be donated to the Drive 4 Ukraine project which is taking cars to Ukraine full of medical and car supplies to be donated to front line medics and humanitarian aid workers. The current car is heading out to Ukraine later this month. Details in links below. You can also donate to the fund and/or purchase kit via the Amason wish list. We are also looking for any items useful to medics like bandages, first aid kits etc and car supplies like tools and winter supplies.
