Walk Description:

The Walk Experience Starting from the Totternhoe Knolls Picnic Area Car Park, this scenic 5KM wellbeing walk takes in stunning views across Totternhoe Knolls and the Dunstable Downs. We walk together through open countryside, following a mix of: Rolling fields Bridleways and countryside tracks A short road section From the very start, you’ll feel the group camaraderie and relaxed atmosphere, as conversation flows and friendships begin to build naturally. As we move through the landscape, the gentle undulations help develop strength, stamina, and total body fitness, especially when using Nordic poles—turning this into a powerful yet accessible full body walking workout. Along the way, we pass through areas rich in history, including: The site of a Norman castle A Neolithic / Iron Age Hill Fort (dating back over 4000 years) These moments create natural pauses—time to connect, reflect, and enjoy the shared experience of walking together.   More Than Just a Walk At Walx Leighton Buzzard, we believe walking is about more than just exercise… It’s about: • Wellbeing walking for both body and mind • Sociable fitness with a welcoming group • Building friendships and genuine connection • Encouragement, support, and shared achievement • Camaraderie that makes every step easier You’re not just joining a walk… You’re becoming part of a supportive fitness walking community

Location Notes:

Look out for the Picnic Area sign on the road as the entrance is quite concealed.
