Walk Description:
Our Explorer WALX for this week is a 5 mile walk over beautiful countryside, taking in the villages of Scaldwell and Hanging Houghton. A mixture of open fields, country lanes, pretty villages and The Brampton Valley Way, a disused railway track.
This walk is open to friends and family, poles or no poles. Just book your space and come along .
I hope you can stay for a drink afterwards at The Stables, Lamport Hall.
These walks are open to family and friends so invite them to join us. No need for a Freedom Passport as these walks are open to you whether you use poles or not. It is up to you.
It is essential to register and book early in advance online as places are limited to 15 people.
If you receive the waiting list notice we have reached capacity numbers. Please leave your name on the waiting list as I will try open other spaces depending on team availability.
Please use your own poles.
Please bring your own drink to keep hydrated. It is advisable to wear a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack and a snack for afterwards or during.
You are asked to contact your WALX Guide by phone, leaving a voicemail or sending an SMS text to the number listed below, if you are likely to be delayed. Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice. Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us in writing if you have any change to your medical records or physical or mental wellbeing. This activity is being lead by Helen Hartley 07919191845
From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
Location Notes:
Follow the signs for Car Parking. There is parking in the Stableyard, however if it is particularly busy you may need to park in the overflow parking which is on the grass area in front of the House.
