Walk Description:

This Wednesday walk will take us over familiar ground but with the focus of looking at the ponds on the Heath  -  you might be surprised to know just how many there are.  We will have a look at the origin of some of the ponds and where they have sprung from, and how they are now used from swimming to supporting wild life. The walk will last for approximately 2.5 hours with a stop for coffee in Golders Hill Park towards the end of the walk.

Location Notes:

Meet at rear of car park. Free car parking on site - just enter your car registration inside the pub. If car park is full, there is free on-street car parking on surrounding roads. If travelling by public transport, Spaniards Inn is a 1-mile walk from Hampstead Underground Station. The 210 and 310 buses stop by the pub, and run from Archway tube station (12mins) or Golders Green tube station (7mins). Get in touch for more advice on location.
