Walk Description:
Join us for the first of our Purbeck Sunset Series walks. An evening walk designed to make the most of Purbeck’s most stunning sunset spots.
This walk takes us up to Heaven’s Gate, which for many is the ultimate sunset viewpoint. From the car park, we’ll enjoy a gentle incline to the coastline overlooking Kimmeridge, with far-reaching views across the landscape—and, if we’re lucky, a truly spectacular sunset.
Bring some light refreshments and something to sit on, so we can pause for a while, soak up the views, and enjoy good company.
On our return, we’ll pass a woodland area known at this time of year for its beautiful display of bluebells.
No facilties on this walk. Some road walking, an incline at the start but mostly grassy paths.
Location Notes:
Take the right into Kingston past the Scott Arms and carry on up the hill bearing right. Go past Houns Tout Car park and keeping going straight until you reach a small car park next some woods on the left hand side. It is signposted SHEEPS PENS car park
