Walk Description:

A brilliant way to find out more about WALX and how we can help you walk well, get more out of walking, meet other walkers , enjoy the best walking routes and learn how Total Body Walking with poles and drills might be the best way to exercise ever!

Come and get a taste of WALX activities with our expert Instructor.

Tailored to get what YOU want to get from walking and at the right level for YOU.

The session will include elements of the following:

How to make walking work for you - do it well & get results Using poles - how they can help with all kinds of walking How to improve strength, balance and range of movement while walking Experience how we combine mindfulness, yoga and connecting with nature through walking

Please wear supportive footwear, ideally waterproof/Gortex, NO SANDALS. Dress appropriately for the weather, layers tend to be better than a thick coat but as long as you are able to move freely then whatever feels comfortable for you.

I would suggest you bring a drink with you, either in a small backpack or belt, as cross bodybags get in the way and restrict your movement.

Meet in the Park View car park which overlooks the main area of the park. Parking Charge dependent on Low / High Season. See Wicksteed Park website for up to date charges. APNR ( number plate recognition ) so don’t forget to visit the payment machine before getting in your car.
