Walk Description:
The Itchen Way is a beautiful long distance following the River Itchen and passing through water meadows, nature reserves and this stretch will end in Winchester.
We'll take the train which leaves Brockenhurst at 12.30 and arrives in Eastleigh at 13.07. It stops everywhere, so you can get on in New Milton, Ashurst, Totton - whatever suits.
When we arrive in Winchester we'll go to the Wykeham Arms for a drink and if anyone would like to stay to eat, there will be ample opportunities but we haven't reserved a table. Alternatively there are numerous other pubs/bars in Winchester.
There is a stretch of the walk which is prone to flooding, so you may want to wear waterproof shoes if there's been any rain.
