Walk Description:
Our walk starts and finishes at Lewes Station and will give a real experience of the delights and challenges of walking on the South Downs.
We leave the station and head out via Southover for the village of Kingston, passing Ashcombe Windmill along the way. We climb steadily onto the Kingston Ridge where we will have spectacular views all around. After 4.5 miles we head downhill then another climb up for more views looking back to Lewes. There is a final steep descent back to the village of Kingston and then it is flat all the way for the last 2 miles back to Lewes.

Routes are planned with breaks and the opportunity for refreshments but this isn't just a ramble; we'll encourage the good posture and motivation to push yourself as we do in all our WALX.
If you'd like to benefit from using Nordic walking poles, we advise you attend a Learn to Nordic WALX workshop. Walkers without poles or with trekking poles are very welcome.
