Walk Description:
Join us to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Watch the sun rise on the longest day, sharing a tea or coffee, and then enjoy a 3-mile walk. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Start: 4.15am in the car park of The Rose & Crown, Kings Langley. As this is a partially residential area, we will ask people to keep voices quiet until away from houses, particularly as voices carry at that time in the morning.
What to bring: we'll be heading off straight away to watch the sunrise from Wayside Farm so you may want to start with an extra layer; we'll be standing for about 10-15mins. Bring a flask of tea or coffee for a warming drink while you watch the sunrise.
Timings: we meet at 4.15am to calmly walk to watch the sunrise at 4.44am. We'll then head off for a 3-mile walk, getting back around 6am. You'll be emotional refreshed and back in bed by 7am!
Cancellation: we will make a decision by 4pm on Sat 20 June if the weather is looking questionable for the morning - there's no point in watching the sunrise in pouring rain! All participants will be emailed via the booking system, so pre-booking is essential.
If you have any questions, or issues on the day, Martin can be reached on 07989 967459.
