Walk Description:
Join us for a beautiful walk from the historic village of Corfe Castle, following quiet tracks and woodland paths towards the Blue Pool area. While we won't be entering the Blue Pool itself, we'll explore the surrounding nature reserve landscape, rich in heathland, pine woodland and abundant wildlife. The route offers a wonderful mix of open countryside, peaceful forest trails and glimpses across the stunning Purbeck landscape.
As we wander through this nationally important heathland habitat, keep an eye out for native birds, reptiles and seasonal wildflowers. The tranquil surroundings provide the perfect opportunity to enjoy nature, breathe in the fresh air and appreciate one of Dorset's most special landscapes before retracing our steps back towards Corfe Castle.
This is a moderate walk with some uneven terrain, tree roots and gentle inclines. Please wear suitable footwear and bring water.
Toilet facilities at the start and finish.
Location Notes:
Meet at the National Trust Car Park (pay and display, free to members) This car park can be found on the main road into Corfe - form Wareham direction it is on the left before you enter the main Village.
